 The
Special Branch of Kolkata Police was setup to gather confidential
reports, intelligence about different topics and information
about the different programmes of VIPs, their movements and
Security. It is headed by a Deputy Commissioner of Police and
assisted by Deputy Commissioner (II) Special Branch. The Organisation
is made up of several sections dealing with specialized job.
